Australia has an interesting history re printing. With a new colony hungry for news, there was a great need for some form of shared communication. Though not all could read, written news was soon shared by those who could. 

We take for granted our various means of communication and would be lost without it. Thanks to George Howe and others like him, the new settlement of Sydney was able to learn more about the brave new world as well as getting some news from their homeland.
