CERTIFICATES OF NATURALISATION 1967 SERIES 8 Trove Tuesday 3rd Nov 2020

Having come from a family of migrants from various countries, the procedure of naturalisation is reasonably familiar to me.  It sure has changed over time... now it is far more expensive and complicated to go through the steps to become an Australian citizen.
As I have written previously, it was far easier for my Greek born grandfather to become an Australian citizen in 1904 than it would be today. You can read some of his story here.

These are the steps you have to work through to become an Australian citizen now...it varies from country to country, age, nationality of parents, etc. Addresses are given for the time of application, so that may help you trace an ancestor.

I'm happy to say that our daughter in law is well on her way to becoming an Australian citizen.
