CERTIFICATES OF NATURALISATION SERIES 11 Trove Tuesday 16th Mar 2021

Where to migrate to?

Taking A Chance Certificates
of Naturalisation

The  Australian population is comprised of people from just about every country in the world..there are few of us who can't trace our family back to another country.

Many took a chance for a better life though some weren't given a choice, instead they were given a "free" passage, back in our colonial days. For those that came of their own free will, being granted a Naturalisation Certificate was a great achievement.

My own paternal Grandfather, a native of Greece, proudly accepted his in the same year that he migrated here.. in 1904. You can read part of his story here

These days, it can take a few years to be able to become an Australian citizen.. as it has been for quite some time. Maybe one of your family are listed in the following notices... they do give the name and address, which can be a great help to researchers.
