PERSONALS... Trove Tuesday 9th Nov 2021

The Personals columns were the social media of yesteryear. Not only did they inform the community as to what social events were happening in the area, but they told the good news and the sad.

They were very helpful during the war years .. often the only way of keeping up with leave of those enlisted, the places they were seconded to and anything else that the public was able to share.

Of course, special birthdays, such as Mrs. T.W. McDonald's 80th birthday, was acknowledged as having been celebrated on 15th March..in Dandenong in 1942.

Enjoy scrolling through, they are addictive... and you just might see mention of someone of interest to you. We'd love to hear if you do.. you can let us know in comments.
