You just never know where your ancestor's names will appear..
perhaps you will find them listed in notices like the ones below. Did they travel, what ship did they arrive on if they were immigrants?
TROVE has quite a number of lists like these, and you can also find shipping lists in the various state and territory archives. Look in the newspapers, including the Personal lists as you may discover all manner of things as to where your ancestors came from, or where they travelled to.
